Part-Time Assistant Teacher (Morning Support) – Daycare & Preschool
Location: The Learning Experience – Gurnee, IL
Pay: $18 - $19.25 (based on experience)
Schedule: Part-Time | Approx. 7:00 AM – 11:00 AM (flexible)

About The Role
The Learning Experience – Gurnee is seeking a dependable Part-Time Assistant Teacher to support classrooms during our busy morning arrival period. This role helps ensure a smooth start to each child’s day while maintaining safe ratios and a welcoming environment for families.
This position is ideal for someone looking for consistent morning hours in a supportive early childhood setting. Additional hours may be available if desired, including occasional closing support.
What You’ll Do
Support teachers during morning arrival and transitions
Help maintain safe classroom ratios across infant, toddler, and preschool rooms
Assist with breakfast routines, classroom setup, and early learning activities
Create a warm, welcoming experience for children and families at drop-off
Help maintain clean, organized classrooms
Follow all health, safety, and licensing standards

Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required
Experience working with children in a daycare or preschool setting preferred
ECE coursework or CDA a plus
Reliable, flexible, and team-oriented
Must meet Illinois childcare licensing requirements
